Write to us
Everything comes to [email protected] — questions, corrections, disagreements, and the occasional kind word. We read all of it. We answer within a few working days, and we answer the awkward ones too.
Corrections
This is the mail we most want to get. If a report contains an error of fact, tell us and we will fix it. It helps enormously if you include:
- a link to the report;
- the sentence you believe is wrong, quoted;
- what the correct version is, and how you know.
We correct errors of fact whoever reports them, including the brand being written about. What we will not do is remove an opinion because somebody disagrees with it, or soften a conclusion because it is commercially inconvenient. Those are two different requests and we treat them differently.
If you are a brand or an agency
You are welcome to write, and plenty of useful corrections have come from brands. So that nobody wastes an afternoon, here is our answer to the four most common enquiries, in advance:
- Paid placement, sponsored posts, paid guest articles: no, at any price.
- Sending us a free unit: no. We buy what we write about — see how we test.
- Reading a report before it goes live: no. Nobody gets a preview.
- Taking a published report down: no. We correct facts; we do not withdraw conclusions on request.
What is genuinely useful from a brand: accurate product information, a note when a specification or price has changed, and a heads-up when a product has been revised so we can go back and look again.
Commercial and affiliate questions
If you run an affiliate programme and want to know how our links work, or you are checking our side of a programme agreement, the same address reaches the right person. How commission works on this site is set out in full in the affiliate disclosure.
What we cannot help with
We are not a shop and we are not anybody's customer service desk. We cannot track your order, process a return, honour a warranty, or chase a refund — for any of those you need the retailer you bought from. If a brand is ignoring you, though, we would quite like to know; it is the kind of thing that belongs in a report.
